Not sure where else to put this.
Noticed the Sherdog Profile picture for that Germaine chick that dominated on the Arlovski/Overeem card.

Not the most handsome woman on earth, but I do give props to her see-through attire choices.

Split the topic and started a new one... great way to kick off the Arlovski Overeem card discussion!

He should have taken it like a man, ie... Overeem.

Crazy, his toe was damn near a 90 degree angle and then just laughed as the trainer popped it back over after the fight.

Great performance by Overeem. Arlovski's offense is still top notch when he smells blood though. It just seems that the longer a fight goes, it's only a matter of time before he gets caught.

Kowalkjklsdfjlkjcz seemed to have taken the fight a bit too lightly. She has great combinations and I love her use of short elbows.

Germaine is a scary chick. Tall, athletic, moves like a man. They really gave her a can it seems. Total mismatch against a poor girl that just looked like a normal (non world class athlete) girl.

Struve/Silva was an odd fight, but I think the ref had to stop the fight in that situation. Silva may have been fine, but he was just motionless taking elbow after elbow (blocked or otherwise).

I agree with the Bigfoot stoppage. He showed nothing but cover-up after getting dropped. He would have just sat there and took more damage. Taking shots repeatedly like that, even when somewhat blocked, is how you get brain damage. No need to rattle the brain any more than those 10 or however many shots it was.

My heart broke when Andre went down. Good stoppage and Overeem was a beast. His kicks are so K1, hard and murderous. I still hate the guy, will still watch Andre as he finishes out his contract.

For sure, where he will win one fight over some journeyman borrowed from BAMMA of Jungle Fights or some shit and be given a title shot.

overeem has been performing like a champion. his new approach to fighting is really paying off. so happy to see a veteran change his style after all these years and still be effective and a finisher.

struve- he needs to fight like that every fight. he is too tentative and has to pull the trigger. guy has all the tools and just needs to put it all together.

that dude whose finger was hanging off looks to be a solid prospect. first time I ever saw him fight and he looked great. excited to see who they match him up with next

I think it would be tough to deny Overeem the next title shot.
Nobody else has a resume close to Overeem's last 4 fights in less than 1.5 years.

4-0 against Struve, Nelson, JDS, and Arlovski. None of these fights were remotely close.

JDS? Lost to Overeem over that stretch.
Rothwell? Can't give him a title shot coming off a loss.
Browne? Even if he beats Velasquez, still has a recent loss to Arlovski (and already blew his shot at Werdum)
Velasquez? If he beats Browne, he probably has the next best case. Though he just lost his last fight to Werdum. If I am breaking ties, I give it to a guy that hasn't fought the champ yet.

yeah they have to give it to reem. it will be exciting to see how much each guy has progressed over the years since they last fought in SF. That is if Werdum gets the win over stipe.

Silva needs to retire.  He has had his lights turned out 5 times in the first round in his last 7 fights...

Exactly.
Let's not give Werdum the win over Stipe just yet.
We all remember JDS's homerun shot that flattened Werdum. Stipe has a pretty good longball himself as evidenced by his 3 first-round UFC KO victories in less than a minute each.

Antonio silva has only 3 wins in the last 5 years
7 losses all kos in the first round like fist mentioned
1 draw- in a fight he was on juice.

that's crazy

You know... the company may keep Bigfoot around for another fight or two... nothing perks the interest more than a good body twitching KO for the knock out reel.

I think beating Fedor while everyone was still fooled gave him a bit of wiggle room in the UFC(pun intended)

Don't let em tell you MMA Math doesn't work.
If you use it often enough, it's bound to work sooner or later.

Very Happy
