PostSubject: Bellator Heavy Weight Tournament to feature Mir vs Fedor   Sat Nov 11, 2017 2:13 pm

Two time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir announces that the first fight on his new Bellator contract will be against Fedor Emelianenko, widely considered to be the greatest mixed martial artist in heavyweight history. This bout will be a part of Bellator's eight-man heavyweight tournament that also includes Chael Sonnen, King Mo, Roy Nelson, Rampage Jackson, Matt Mitrione, and Ryan Bader.

Would be preferred this 10 or so years ago, but I'll definitely check it out.
Hopefully it doesn't end in some screwed up fashion like a lot of Bellator's highly anticipated "superfight" types.

Yeah, I fully agree there. 10 years ago this was a friggin insane fight! But, it still has me interested, especially seeing it's a tournament. Big Country vs Meat Head is another one that was announce too... I really wish Bellator would have opted to use more of the actual heavy weights they have though...

They probably couldn't get them to commit for the full tournament.
Don't a lot of Bellator fighters also compete in other orgs?
